What Is a Psychic?

A Psychic is a person with the ability of ESP (Extra-Sensory-Perception) The word ‘Psychic’ originates from the Greek word ‘psychikos’ (Pertaining to the Soul) and refers to the ‘psyche’ (The Human Mind). More here

What Do Psychics Do?

A psychic person has extra sensory perception and may be able to give insights into yourself and your life situation to give guidance and direction about which direction to take. They may use various tools such as Tarot Cards, Crystal Ball, Runes and so on as an aid to their insights. These same tools are used without psychic ability and the reader used interpretive skills and normal intuition to look into the future. Astrology does not need clairvoyant of psychic ability. What Do Mediums Do?

Mediums use their psychic skills to communicate with the dead. (also known as mediumship) They give proof of the survival of the personality after death and give comforting proof that your loved ones have survived physical death. More here…

What Do Skeptics Think Psychics and Mediums Do?

Skeptics believe that psychics con themselves and others. Their primary argument is that there exists what they call the “Barnham Effect” – which is the name they give to a form of subjective validation  where a subject finds personal meaning in statements that could apply to many people. In other words they think that people make the facts fit what the psychic or medium has to say. As a medium I of course dispute this and point to the fact that a several instances where the psychic or medium gives verifiable facts he could not possibly know about the sitter.  Sometimes these proofs are not discovered until after the sitter has spoken to people afterwards proving that the psychic medium was not mind-reading but was genuinely in touch with spirit.

If I Want to Know More About the Skeptical Viewpoint Where Should I Look?

I would start looking at the work of open-minded researchers such as the biologist Rupert Sheldrake or the solicitor Victor Zammit. For an aggressive stance against what we do consider James Randi, Richard Dawkins and Chris French.

Is There Any Scientific Proof That Psychic Skills Are Real?

There is a vast amount of research that has been done and you can read about some of this research in the DLP sections of this site. Some of the early work was done by the Society of Psychical research and notable people from their time such as Alfred Russell Wallace, Arthur James Balfour, Maurice Barbanell, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sir William Crookes, Andrew Jackson Davis, Air Chief Marshal Lord Hugh Dowding, Arthur Findlay, Edmund Gurney, Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross and many more… You can read about all these people on this site if you use our search box on the right of the screen.

Where Can I Find a Good Psychic or Medium?

Apart from my own services on this site I would suggest you initially look to your local Spiritualist Church. Most services take place on a Sunday and you will be able to watch a medium demonstrate his abilities. Afterwards you can ask one of the church helpers if the medium is available for private sittings or if they know anyone locally who they can recommend. The best way to find someone is to ask people until you get a good recommendation. Some of the best mediums are quite old now and are not listed on the internet.
