Below is an extract from the BBCi website that showcases Craig's
psychic history experiment.
Craig
Hamilton-Parker says he can sense the history of an object
simply by looking at it.
We challenged Craig with three historical objects, and offered
you the same challenge.

Item one is an aestel, held in Salisbury Museum. It would
have held an ivory pointer and was used to follow words on
a manuscript, particularly a bible. It is anglo-saxon, over
1000 years old, and may be one of several which were comissioned
by King Alfred.
Craig identified the object as a pointer and correctly picked
up on the male connection.
What did you think about item two? Were you right? Some of
your answers are below.

What did
you think about item one? Were you right? Some of your answers
are below:
| Aaron, Southampton |
| I sense this is a Druidic device
used by the Archdruid to discern day from night for ceremonial
purposes. It was held up to the eye, blue crystal facing
outwards. If the crystal glowed it was daytime if not
it was deemed to be dark. This would have been one of
a pair, so that a second opinion could be sought |
| Sheri, Kewaskum |
| ming dinasty found on a sunkin ship |
| Anthony, Huddersfield |
| I feel that this particular item
was once a necklace that was worn by a lady of popularity
in history, it speaks out to me of extreme wealth that
the person had if i was to put a date on it it would have
to be in the 1700's in between 1750 to 1755 |
| Louise, Sunderland |
| love,200 years old |
| Alexander, Canterbury |
| It was worn by a lady with a white
dress in a sort of bracelet. It used to hang from her
wrist. She used to love showing it off. I see a party
of people danciing, men in suits and ladies with long
dresses. |
| Anette, Liverpool |
| a bed warmer used by queen victoria
and was a gift from an arab prince |
| Joy, Birmingham |
| i feel that this is from a very hot
culture. it may be very very old, maybe Egypt. I feel
that it is part of a cosmetic set, kept by a woman, and
was part of a set. think it was for beauty reasons. Maybe
a mirror for hair, came with a brush i feel. It belonged
to someone with power and sat on a small table with other
items. Feel it was found in a burial place. But was taken
out and sold. |
| Melanie, Boston |
| not sure why but feels egyptian in
origin, and more than this to the set, feels like it would
have been owned by a lady not sure what it is but feels
something to do with beauty, very ornate so wouldn't have
been owned by anyone someone important owned this, might
be a mirror and i would say it was part of a set that
included hair accessories. i would say it is well over
500 years old and it was found amongst lots of things
that were found unexpected that it ended up in a quite
ordiunaryu location for it's ornateness and quality. the
gem is very large and reminds me of an eye not sure how
that would fit, possible religious conotations |
