Barking Mad Question About My Dog

Article about Spirit Dogs by Craig Hamilton-Parker.

I owned a dog who used to follow me everywhere. We had a very strong bond and it seemed so unfair when killed in a road accident. I was wondering if there is a Spirit World for animals? One evening, when I was feeling rather down, I am convinced that I felt my ghost dog brush against my leg. Such a feeling of love came over me. Was this spirit dogs?

CRAIG’S REPLY: Yes, there is an animal kingdom in the Spirit World and yes there are spirit dogs. That very special bond of love you have with your pet never stops. Often when a loved one makes a telepathic communication through a medium they bring with them and describe the pets that have passed over.

Spirit Dogs Return

Animals can’t talk when they are here and they don’t suddenly start speaking when they get to the spirit. It normally takes a human spirit communicator to pass on their love. In your case, you’re very lucky to be sensitive enough to feel the presence of your dog without the aid of a medium. No doubt your dog responded to your sadness and wanted to reassure you in the only way he knew how.

I lost my best friend Boof 9 weeks ago today. This little dog went everywhere with me even to work. I am so sad I light a candle every day for him, I Hope he knows how much I still love him. Boof was my world and I will love him and miss him until the day I die. I cry every day but It doesn’t make me feel any better.

I lost my precious pitbull Rufus almost 2 years ago. The grief I feel is almost paralyzing. But he leaves me feathers, shiny pennies, dimes, and sends me butterflies and fireflies, and crickets to assure me he’s just right here. If he didn’t, I couldn’t go on! Mommy loves you so Rufus.

When our last cat died in my arms I kept thinking about her last moments and was tormented by how she died, gasping for breath and all I could do was hold her gently across my arms so as not to impede her breathing further. A couple of days later when I was lighting a candle in her favorite spot in the garden I happened to turn round and look up the garden path only to see her walking towards me looking as she did when she was still fit and healthy. I got the feeling she had come to tell me to remember her as she was. Since then the whole family has heard miaowing when there are no cats about and felt a cat jump on our lap or brush against us. We have now got 3 more cats but we know they are not the only cats in our house.

I am an animal lover I lost my first dog March 22, 2004, and my second dog May 22, 2017. I still cry for them and I cannot stop crying. My question is do animal come back as ghost or spirits. I feel my own dogs from time to time.

I do believe I will see my family again after I go into the light. I also believe that I will see my pets from this life and be delighted to be reunited with them. I do wonder about the animals who never knew the love of another being, human or animal. There are so many animals who are born to this world who never know kindness. Are they also in “the light”? Is it at that point when they no longer suffer and only receive love and attention? I do hope so.

Will I see my animal friends when I cross? And will we spend eternity together? If I don’t want to have another human experience after this one, do I have to? Life is pointless if don’t see our beloved pets. And I don’t want to go through this experience again. Life sucks.

Rather than saying ‘life sucks’ it would be better to begin a spiritual quest. You may find that if you investigate spiritualism you will get solace and also be able to seek out good mediums and spiritualists who can help prove to you that loved animals – just like humans – survive death. I have written a lot more about this at this link about animals in the afterlife.

Hi I’m just wondering if you have any books about pets after they have died. Ive looked at what books you have wrote but can not find one about our beloved pets. If you have got one could you possibly send me a link so I can buy it. My dog wasn’t just my best friend he was my soal mate. My heart is breaking in too. I just want to be able to know he is in heaven happy and also still with me. I have his ashes back with me now he has candles pictures around him in his lovely casket. He died on Sunday just gone but the week before that he went and had his nails clipped. I have been a emotional wreck this week and on Tuesday as I was cleaning the side and getting it ready for my boy coming home and there it was one of his nails. Its now in its own little box on his casket. I talk to home every day

I’ve mentioned communications with the spirits of pets and animals in a number of my book but have not written a book exclusively on this topic. The most appropriate book is my book “What to Do When You Are Dead” in which I talk in one chapter about what happens to animals when they die. You can also watch our YouTube clips which show a number of medium demonstrations by Jane and me in which pets have made themselves known. For many people losing a pet is almost as upsetting as losing a child so it’s good to know that they survive death and cam sometimes give proof via a communication human spirit who may talk on their behalf.

Animal grieve too I remember when our female cat ‘Yin’ died and the male cat ‘Yang’ grieved for ages. We eventually bought him a mate ‘Gizzy’ and now Yang has passed Gizzy is at a loss. Humans are not the only species that are aware that death exists but fortunately for us we can seek out proof of the reality of the next life.

Could you please tell me if my dog Sofie visits or stays with me everywhere I go? If not where is she and how is she? Thank you.

My dog passed just over a week ago, I have cried every day since. We were very close. I have psychic ability but I choose not to develop it. I did ask spirit for proof that my dog’s soul is still with me at home. My dog was barking on my answer phone, now I know this sound bizarre, but it was the validation I’ve been asking for. Also her scent is very, very strong around me at home, more so than when she was alive is that makes sense.

I put my dog to sleep this past Wednesday. He went into renal failure I did the right thing but I am so sad. I’ve lost my best friend. Is he resting from his illness? Is he happy healed and at peace. Does he realize loved him much?

Please can you help me get in touch with my cat Jerry who I had put to sleep the 21st October. I need to know he’s okay.

Mediums cannot give messages directly from pets in spirit. They give proof via a human spirit communicator. You can participate in these for free either at a Spiritualist Church or at our online demonstrations at our online chat community.

Many years ago when passing through the new town of Edinburgh during the day and in company with my late wife; although close to the city centre the street we were on was empty. A dog, probably medium sized, brushed against the outside of my right leg. It obviously was a dog; I could feel its fur and its pressure and the knowledge that one knows when something alive touches one, the only problem was, that there was no dog near us nor in the vicinity.

During 1967 while residing at Cupar, Fife, I could feel what appeared to be another medium sized dog rest its jaw on my bed about halfway along just prior to going to sleep but I did not have a dog and this occurred frequently over a number weeks and slowly the pressure moved towards my head. After a number of occurrences the dog rested its head next to mine then slowly began to move across my face when I began to feel as if I was suffocating and I became alarmed; immediately it stopped when I felt relieved and it never returned. The sequel to this came some time later in life. In 1973 I took ownership of a black labour pup and my family had it for 10 years until its passing. During the time I had this dog it would lay its jaw on the side on my bed next to my head and would make its way across my face in exactly the same manner as experienced above. Possibly a coincidence and may be it is not. I will leave the thought with you; I do not have an explanation.

Finally, in 2002 when lying in bed with my present wife (my first wife having passed over) and while asleep and the room in darkness, a cat leaped on to my side of the bed which awoke me. We had a Norfolk terrier pup which slept in its basket near to the bed but it was not disturbed. Previous to my wife and I meeting she had three cats which she left with another family member and the three were alive. While I could not see the cat it pawed its way across the bed, over my ankles and made its way towards my wife. My wife immediately awoke exclaiming excitedly that there was a cat on the bed and as she did the cat leaped off the bed at her side. My wife switched on the bed light and searched the room but no cat. I explained to her that it was a spirit cat to which she was amazed and delighted (she being a cat lover, of course). The interesting feature about this incident was that it was experienced by us both.

Another interesting feature about those experiences and those of a medium is I am psychic and spirits contact me while mediums seem able to engage with spirits but I would avoid being too precise with this explanation.

Hopefully, those episodes of mine will assist at supporting the view that animals (and other living creatures) also inhabit the spiritual plane.
